The AMRC’s Integrated Manufacturing Group and Design & Prototyping Group held two one-day events to demonstrate the ways in which augmented reality technology can be used in manufacturing. Augmented reality is a new way of viewing digital data, in which information is superimposed onto a live view of the real environment.

As well as showing the results of the Augmented Reality ply-layup work carried out in REFORM, the event will showcased the capabilities of the Metaio Engineer system and smart glass technology from Vuzix.  It was attended by 55 people over 2 days, comprising a mix on SMEs, UK and International companies.
